Exclusions required when a proxy server is in use

Last Updated: Apr 26, 2016 07:48AM EDT
Sensors do NOT support the use of a proxy server, application or web filtering solution when communicating with Pwn Pulse or when retrieving updates.

This is because the sensors use a customized implementation of SSL and bi-directional authentication to ensure secure communication is maintained at all times.

If a proxy server or web filtering solution is used within the network the sensor is located, to allow sensors to fully communicate with Pwn Pulse and to retrieve updates, the following exclusions are required to be in place *before* the sensor is connected with Pwn Pulse.

Allow TCP port 443 to subdomain.pwnieexpress.net
Allow TCP port 443 to sensors.subdomain.pwnieexpress.net
Allow TCP port 443 to updates.pwnieexpress.com
Allow TCP port 443 to kalirepo.pxinfra.net
Allow TCP port 443 to gemrepo.pxinfra.net
Allow TCP port 873 to openvas-feed.intevation.org

If IP addresses are preferred to the use of a FQDN, then allow TCP port 443 to the following

54.236.145.208
107.23.131.152
54.209.70.203
52.1.54.240
198.74.52.126
54.236.122.47
52.0.172.36
54.88.157.254
107.23.68.215‚Äč

And allow TCP port 873 to 78.47.251.61
